One of the best breakfasts in the backcountry can be found at Big Creek (U60). Pilots from all over the backcountry will fly through deep canyons and over high ridges, just so they won't have to make their own breakfast. I've never seen anyone get up from the table hungry.
This year, Big Creek became even more popular when the lodge at Sulfur Creek changed hands. Sulfur was a very popular backcountry breakfast location. The new owners put out the word that they would not be welcoming fly-in appetites on their private strip this year, so the traffic at Big Creek increased dramatically. We'll have to wait and see what next year brings.
