High winds plagued our flight from Northwestern Montana to Central Idaho. We stopped in McCall for fuel and lunch. We decided to spend the day there waiting for the winds to die down before venturing into the canyons enroute to Johnson Creek. After renting a car, we set off exploring around Payette Lake.

View of Payette Lake from Ponderosa State Park on the north side of the lake.
Intrepid explorers Mark and Brad decide which way we should go next. Note that Mark is pointing to the edge of a 200 ft. cliff overlooking the lake.
Wildflowers turned this meadow into a carpet of pink.
